Dr Bernard Chan Pak-li was Political Assistant to the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development from March 2013 to June 2017, and Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development from August 2017 to June 2022. Before joining the Government, Dr Chan spent about 10 years working in the technology sector, gaining experience in intellectual property trading and crossover collaboration. From 2008 to 2013, Dr Chan served as a member of the Kwun Tong District Council. Dr Chan holds a bachelor degree in electrical engineering and a PhD degree in biomedical engineering from Duke University, USA. 陳百里在二零一三年三月至二零一七年六月期間擔任商務及經濟發展局局長政治助理，及在二零一七年八月至二零二二年六月期間擔任商務及經濟發展局副局長。 陳百里在加入政府前，從事科技範疇的工作約十年，在知識產權貿易及跨產業合作方面具備經驗。他於二零零八年至二零一三年擔任觀塘區區議員。 他畢業於美國杜克大學，獲授電機工程學士和生物醫學工程博士學位。

Professor Lionel M. Ni is the founding president of the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (Guangzhou). He is also the Chair Professor of Computer Science and Engineering and Provost of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Professor Ni earned his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in 1980. He served as Vice Rector (Academic Affairs) and Chair Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Macau; Chair Professor and Head of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Dean of HKUST Fok Ying Tung Graduate School and Special Assistant to the President; Professor in Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University (1981 to 2002), the Microelectronic Systems Architecture program director at US National Science Foundation (1995-1996) co-founder and CEO of CC&T Technologies, Inc., Michigan (1998-2001), and the Chief Scientist of the China’s National 973 Program on Wireless Sensor Networks (2006 to 2011). Professor Ni’s research interests include high-performance computing, internet technologies, mobile computing, wireless networking, big data, and intelligent computing. He has published three books and over 360 refereed journal and conference articles with over 37,000 citations on Google Scholar. 倪明選教授於1980年獲得美國普渡大學電機工程博士學位，曾先後擔任香港科技大學首席副校長，校長特別助理、霍英東研究院院長及計算機科學及工程系主任與講座教授，澳門大學學術副校長、電腦及資訊科學系講座教授，密歇根州立大學計算機科學與工程系教授 ，美國國家科學基金會微電子系統結構項目主任，美國CC&T技術公司聯合創辦人兼行政總裁。 倪明選教授是IEEE終身會士，香港工程科學院院士，論文引用超過37000次（根據Google Scholar），曾先後獲得8次國際會議最佳論文獎，成功申請28個美國、中國授權的專利，並指導73名博士畢業生。 倪明選教授積極參與中國內地學術事務。曾先後獲得中國計算機學會海外傑出貢獻獎（2009），教育部自然科學一等獎（2010），國家自然科學二等獎（2011），以及廣東省科學技術一等獎（2014）。他曾先後擔任國家973計劃無線傳感網項目首席科學家（2006-2011）、清華大學IV訪問講座教授、上海交通大學神州數碼訪問講座教授、中國科學院海外評審專家、中國國家自然科學基金委員會及科技部專家小組成員，以及4個國家重點實驗室/國家工程中心的學術委員會成員。

Professor Yang Wang took office as Vice-President for Institutional Advancement of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) on 1 October 2020. He is also a Chair Professor of Mathematics. He joined the HKUST as the Head of the Department of Mathematics in 2014 and he became the Dean of School of Science in 2016. Professor Wang is an internationally respected scholar with wide ranging research interests, having published over 100 research journal papers in both pure and interdisciplinary mathematics, many of which in top journals. During his tenure as Dean of Science and Head of Mathematics, Prof Wang founded the HKUST Big Data Institute and launched the popular Big Data Technology MSc program. Professor Wang received his Bachelor degree in Mathematics from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1983 and obtained his PhD degree in Mathematics from Harvard University in 1990. He started his academic career with the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1989 and then moved on to be the Department Chair and Professor of Mathematics at Michigan State University in 2007. He was also a Program Director at the National Science Foundation between 2006 and 2007. 汪揚教授自2020年10月1日起出任香港科技大學副校長（大學拓展），同時兼任數學系講座教授。汪教授於2014年加入科大擔任數學系系主任，及後於2016年升任為理學院院長。 汪教授是國際知名的學者，研究範疇廣泛；他在純數學及跨學科數學兩大範疇發表的研究論文超過100篇，當中不少刊載於頂尖的科學期刊。汪教授于擔任理學院院長及數學系系主任期間，成立了香港科技大學大數據生物智能實驗室，並推出廣受歡迎的大數據科技理學碩士課程。 汪教授于1983年在中國科學技術大學取得數學學士學位後，繼而於1990年在哈佛大學取得博士學位。1989年，汪教授于喬治亞理工學院開展其學術生涯，其後在2007年加入美國密歇根州立大學擔任數學系主任及教授。他亦曾於2006至2007年間擔任美國國家科學基金會的課程主任。

Mr Yan is an industry leader with more than 35 years of experience in the information technology industry. As the CEO of Cyberport, Mr Yan leads the digital technology flagship focusing on talent cultivation, industry development, and the integration of new and traditional economies. Prior to joining Cyberport, Mr Yan was the Executive Director and CEO of SUNeVision and had held various senior management positions in large consulting and IT services companies including Accenture, Tradelink and Computer and Technologies. Mr Yan has been active in public services and is a member of the Election Committee (the Technology and Innovation Subsector). He serves as a member of the Council of the City University and the Hong Kong Metropolitan University. Mr Yan is also a member of the Human Capital Committee of the Financial Services Development Council, a member of the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications, and various industry or professional organisations in the I&T sector. He also lectures as an Adjunct Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Hong Kong. Mr Yan holds a BBA Degree from CUHK and was conferred the Honoree of the Year by the CUHK Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma in 2020, and a Distinguished Fellow of the Hong Kong Computer Society in 2021. His research results have been widely used in all walks of life for 30 years. Mr. Chau started his business with music technology in 2008 and developed a variety of music products for Apple Computer. George Chen joined Meta (previously known as Facebook) in January 2016 as the company’s first-ever policy representative based in Hong Kong, home for Meta in the Greater China region. Currently as the Managing Director, Public Policy, for Greater China, Mongolia, and Central Asia, George serves as Meta’s “ambassador” to engage with the people and governments across the vast and diverse regions. Prior to Meta, George has worked in the media sector for about 15 years. George was a 2014 Yale World Fellow and a 2015 fellow of the US State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program. Dr Vincent Ho is a Art-Tech evangelist. He is the first Chinese in the world since 2004, he founded the digital copyright visual content mobile technology platform 3GTV to develop the first mobile film. Graduated from University of California Berkeley, Bachelor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Gabriel was deeply influenced by and exposed to the tech startup culture of Silicon Valley, which motivated him to found a series of startups with a total investment of over USD20 million. He developed Asia’s first web based virtual world social platform, Sooff.com, in which he, as the CEO and the System Analyst, made the earliest attempt to implement concepts like micro-transaction, freemium, gamification, and advertising through games and social network, which are all game industry norms nowadays. Gabriel worked with various 4As advertising agencies, such as TBWA, Ogilvy & Mather, and McCann, as the Digital Creative Director to design and develop gamification projects and award-winning digital advertising campaigns for brands like Intel, Cartoon Network, Levi’s, VTech, and Nokia. He also worked as the Chief Strategy Officer for Mtel Thailand, the Southeast Asia spin off of one of the most established mobile solution providers, Mtel Solutions Limited, in Hong Kong, expanding their solution and consultancy businesses into Southeast Asia, including a partnership with the biggest cinema chain in Thailand, Major Cineplex. He is currently the consultant of a Hong Kong based digital strategy and solution studio, Makeitfun Studio Limited, which specializes in gamification and ecosystem building, with clients such as PCCW, Hang Lung Malls, SHK Malls, MegaBox, Times Square, MTR Malls, CNCBI, BCT Group, and Nickelodeon.

Mr Edmond Lai joined the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) in 2018 to lead the digital transformation, smart manufacturing and Mainland business of the HKPC. Mr Lai is an expert in Industry 4.0 (i4.0) and Enterprise 4.0 (e4.0) business transformation, as well as digital product development, with experience in local and overseas market development. Prior to joining HKPC, Mr Lai worked in General Electric (GE) for more than 20 years. He successfully completed the management trainee programme in the information technology department of the multinational company, and then had also served in their internal audit and finance functions. Cristal Hui is the Head of Data and Analytics in AIA Hong Kong and Macau. She has more than 20 years of experience leading data change in banking and finance industry, embedding good data practices in business and technology, leading the creation of data platforms, and delivering business focused analytics. Her passion and interest in data starting from her degree in statistics. She enjoyed identifying facts and insights through data, and sharing these different dimensions with people to create customer and business value. This led to an increasing interest in how people at all levels use and interact with data, and enabled her successfully driving data transformation in 18 countries to support digital and AI initiatives in her previous role as GBM Asia Pacific Chief Data Officer in HSBC.

Mr Mah is Director of Group Information Technology of Maxim’s Caterers Limited. He joined the Group in 2015 and was named Head of Information Technology. Currently he leads the Information Technology Department and oversees the strategy and management of IT infrastructure and systems for the Group in various territories, including Hong Kong and Macau regions, mainland China and Southeast Asia. Louis is responsible to overseeing technology related, formulate strategy with innovation ideas to grow technological capabilities. Ricky graduated in Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2003, major in System Engineering & Engineering Management. He helped over 100 multinational clients including Citibank, American Express, Estee Lauder & Amazon to manage and advise their digital business strategies across Greater China Area since his work in Yahoo! and IClick Interactive. He is the ex-Senior Business Manager of Yahoo Asia in 2005-2007. He founded Digital Marketing Group and also Tetris Media in 2007-2009. He’s the co-founder & General Manager China of IClick Interactive between 2009-2018, one of the largest digital advertising platforms in greater China area, partnered with Baidu and Tencent for their advertising business and listed in Nasdaq (ICLK) in 2017. He joined the Web3 industry since 2017 through setup the Mcafee Asia Fund and incubated over 10 projects across Asia over these years. He is a Web3 & Metaverse industry through Metaverse Events & Go-to-market planning. Ricky is currently the co-founder of BetterArena, a fast growing Metaverse Platform-as-a-Service technology company in Asia.

Sam Or is currently the Chief Revenue Officer of SPECTRA Technologies Holdings Co. Ltd. (SPECTRA Technologies). He joined SPECTRA Technologies since 2005. He is responsible for driving company business strategies and is in charge of the sales and business development of the company. Graduated from Computer Studies and Business Administration, he has more than 20 years of experience in the payment terminal industry and a strong career background in IT and business management fields. Prior to joining SPECTRA Technologies, Sam worked in Computer Banking System Division, Hitachi, Ltd.in Japan and focused on providing project consultancy, system support and user training to the banking systems in Hong Kong, China and Singapore. 柯景生先生於2005年加入瑞柏科技控股有限公司（瑞柏科技）現擔任首席營收官一職，負責推動公司業務戰略、銷售和業務發展。他畢業於電腦應用及商業管理，在支付終端行業擁有超過20年的工作經驗，同時於資訊科技及業務管理方面都經驗豐富。此前，Sam在日本任職於日立製作所的電子銀行系統部門，為香港、中國及新加坡的銀行系統提供項目諮詢、系統支援及用戶培訓的工作。

After graduating from Law School at the National University of Singapore (with Dean's list award), Julian So proceeded to obtain legal qualifications in Singapore, Hong Kong and the United Kingdom. He practiced finance law in the then largest law firm in Singapore, Allen & Gledhill, and subsequently joined an international law firm in Hong Kong, Simmons & Simmons, specialising in securitisation, derivatives and structured finance. Apart from legal private practice, Julian also has more than 15 years experience in the finance industry in all of the three Asian financial centres (Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo). During this time, he held senior positions in UBS AG, Royal Bank of Scotland, Morgan Stanley and was Head of Asia Fixed Income at Mizuho Securities. Julian is now the Group CEO of XBE and the Vice Chairman of both Coinllectibles and Marvion. Erich Wong is Head of Growth for The Sandbox Hong Kong. He is responsible for developing the business in the Greater China Region and for building partnerships with key brands and Intellectual Properties to support a large and enthusiastic metaverse community. Earlier this year, Erich led the launch of Mega City 2, a major land sale on Hong Kong’s vibrant cultural hub in The Sandbox metaverse that is home to the finest brands, including Ocean Park, Standard Chartered, Regal Hotels Group and Tatler Asia to building a variety of experiences in Mega City 2. He is currently developing a creators’ community working with various local Universities and Creative and Design Institutions to promote voxel-based design and to bolster the development of metaverse ecosytem. As a gaming enthusiastic with a background in design, Erich brings a wealth of experience in art, design skills and gaming to The Sandbox. He has a strong track record in business development and operations while working for startups and mobile game applications since 2011. Erich transformed his Web2 skillset to Web3 as he entered the Metaverse world in 2021. Prior to joining The Sandbox, Erich worked for CanvasLand NFT as Chief Marketing Officer, where he spearheaded marketing campaigns and business operations across the region. Previously, Erich was Marketing Director of nxTomo Games, where he was responsible for strategic planning of game features, licensing, operations, promotions, as well as monitoring the overall workflow of App production. During his tenure with the company, Erich achieved a HKD 5 Million sales record of Footballer cards in the Animation-Comic-Game Hong Kong (ACGHK) fair in only five days. He also generated over 300,000 downloads of BFB Champion football simulation game in nine month following its launch. He was a pioneer in monetizing football player characters in the NFT format. Earlier in his career, Erich was fashion stylist and designer at South China Media Group. Mr Joe Yau is the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Executive Officer of OpenRice Group, and he serves in the Board of Directors. Mr. Yau is responsible for managing all local and overseas businesses, and leading the company’s digital transformation from a dining review portal to a comprehensive O2O dining services platform, pioneering payment solutions with establishment of OpenRice Biz Merchant network. Mr Yau has earned accolades, including IDC DX Omni-Experience Innovator Awards HK and DX CEO Awards HK as well as the Regional Winner in 2020, for groundbreaking results that OpenRice has been achieved in digital advancement and enhanced services via various big data techniques in past years. In his spare time, he contributes to our society as mentor and IT advisor to several NGOs.
